First game I'm thinking of putting something on Enner Valencia. Probably first goalscorer or number of shots on target. Believe it or not he's bang on form, with 13 goals in 12 games in the Turkish league for Fenerbache.

I did the predictor on skybet and took each game on its own merit and ended with Netherlands as winners of World Cup.

back the penalty takers especially if they are forwards to score anytime or 1st goal scorer. If your betting on the first scorer use Betfred as they double your winnings if that player scores again, or trebles the winnings if he gets a hattrick.

Re: World Cup betting tips
At the World Cup and Euros, you can usually get better odds than you might expect, betting against England, due to the volume of money, bet on England, to succeed.

6 - 1 not to get out of the group, seems reasonable.

Re: World Cup betting tips
I've done an accum with most of the opening group games over 1.5 goals (excluded the likes of mex v pol) @ around 40/1 to give me an interest for the week. Hopefully it gets past Sunday and that's not a 0-0.

Nunez ew top goal scorer 40/1

Might look and see if any decent specials on offer

Re: World Cup betting tips
Top Team Goalscorer used to be brilliant back in the day as the odds were far too generous. I won two £50 trebles on the spin in 2002 and 2006 which paid around £750/850 each, but those days are long gone. As an example, Ronaldo was 3/1 to be Brazil’s top scorer (joint favourite with Rivaldo and Adriano). Still an element of luck needed, but a stupid price. He should be about 5/6 in reality.

Sky Bet have a boost on Netherlands, Belgium and Brazil to all win their group at 7/2 which seems decent. Martinez of Argentina to win the Golden Boot at around 20/1 could be worth a punt? Messi to win the Golden Ball at around 7/1? It would be fitting for him to bow out with that award.

William Hill have boosted England to Evens to beat Iran, with a maximum stake of £10.

Qatar won’t want to lose the opening match
Ecuador could be a team to pay off if corruption in football existed which obviously it doesn’t.

1-1
2-2
3-3

Re: World Cup betting tips
For people interested in Fantasy Football, Bet365 might be worth looking at. Unlike ones that are free but only have prizes for the top 3 winners, these have a multitude of prizes and various games. You can pick a team for the whole tournament, or for 2 days of games, or pick 5 players for a single game.

For instance, for the 7 games on Monday and Tuesday you can pick a team of 11 and stake a choice of 3 different amounts:

17p for 172 prizes ranging from 24p to £21.12
£2 for 527 prizes ranging from £4.75 to £525
£15 for 50 prizes ranging from £98.73 to £2003.20

I think that the prize pool and number of prizes increases depending on how many people enter, but it looks like you'd need to be in the top 15% or so to win something.

I might do some of these to lend some interest to games I wouldn't know what to bet on.

I've gone for 2.2 (18/1) & 3. 3 (110/1) Ladbrokes price boost on today's game
I fancy England 3.0 tomorrow at 7/1
There was a Hills advert in the Sun yesterday offering evens on England to in shop card holders but presume there is a maximum stake.
For the last round of group games i will be picking 10 games and perming them in correct score doubles & trebles.
Also tempted to do 3.3 draws in a lot of the fixtures as has served me handsomely in the past.

Looking to be proved wrong but 0-0, Southgate won’t be able to break their tight defence down.

Looks like Bet 365 paid Kane off. England score 5 and he doesnt have a shot. Spent most the game outside the box
